Back once again with the ill behaviour.

And no matter how much I may like your image of whatever I probably won’t Boost it if it doesn’t have good Alt-Txt. You know it makes sense.

@eten Well it’s only polite
@Glytch ah. not in my timeline view
@sic_semper_tyrannis @flork I have a similar tiny PC. There’s a few manufacturers of similar items, some even have like 4 or 6 m2 slots to make excellent little NAS or similar.
From memory, Geekcom (Sp?). have a look on your favourite AliExpress-type mart. Intel N100 or N150 CPUs seem to the thing, but beware of the RAM limits for those if that’s a thing for you. There are some fun AMD ones out there too.
@Glytch @krooklochurm i don’t think i want to know how that conversation started

@FreedomAdvocate @Eyekaytee quicker i can get off-grid, the better

@Mattr @Toasted_Breakfast They’re trying some things like lock-screen ads on some models too. Turned “off” by default (for now). But their Phone (3) isn’t getting that, if i understand correctly. Just the (a) models.

@HubertManne @Eyekaytee It’s sticking in my mind that’s there extra “stuff” that needs to happen for a battery to supply power to the house if the mains feed drops. But I can’t remember what the man said. I will have to read up on it again and consider if it’s worth it - I’m not sure I expect many outages (metro area, with newly-upgraded/buried power lines). And i’d just go to the park if there was one.

@Gorgritch_umie_killa It’s fascinating reading https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-07-09/fiona-argyle-mayor-of-nedlands-council-dissolved-follow-barnett/105511328
Pure hearsay from people I know that know people that worked there, but yep, she was as completely unhinged as she appears to be.

@Gorgritch_umie_killa yeah, Nedlands, before they got dissolved, abolished, or whatever the word is, I believe.
For me, the impression I continually get from my local council is that they may be good people with good intentions and set good policy, but the Operations side of the town just go about doing whatever they want anyway. It doesn’t seem to matter who gets voted onto it, not a lot of visible change.

@Gorgritch_umie_killa the sooner huge chunks of them are amalgamated, the better.
And obvs need some way to weed out people with “nearly 3 degrees”

@non_burglar @Damage Are they just TOTP authentication codes you need? If so, you there’s alternatives

@WhatAmLemmy @saltesc I think the handed over Squeezebox when deciding they’d done enough squeezing?

@Wispy2891 just wanting to say, best avatar i’ve seen for a while. love it.

@MTZ @SidewaysHighways You may wish to disable all browser password managers, on all devices and use an alternate method of password management that suits your needs.
This is a cautionary tale on browser password managers (amongst other facepalms) that saw about millions of people’s personal details stolen - https://www.oaic.gov.au//_/_data/assets/pdf/_file/0037/228979/Medibank-data-breach-alleged-timeline-infographic.pdf

@Eyekaytee Bears could be a good thing. Obvs once people get over the name.

@Eyekaytee @Nath Yeah, govt keeps opening its wallet to bring entertainment and sports over.
Personally, I don’t like them funding UFC, and advertising it on the bridge they promised would never be used for advertising. But I read it’s to try and sway the “bogan vote”.

@Nath i think a lot of people even turned up to watch the plane with them on board come into land yesterday.
@Dust0741 transfer it to a VoIP number and have a VoIP app on your data-only SIM. Unless your data-only SIM provider does some blocking
@BonesOfTheMoon must have been fighting them off with a stick
