  • I feel like so many people aren’t necessarily ignorant to the problems, we just don’t know what to do about it. I keep seeing posts suggesting Americans are supposed to be uprising but by doing exactly what? I don’t want to be defeatist, but I legit don’t know what the plan is supposed to be. Voting doesn’t seem to be working, and apparently it’s going to be even less effective soon.

  • We get yellow jackets in our yard every summer and I used to destroy them all on sight but I always felt so bad about taking out entire families with chemical warfare so I’ve switched to a live and let live strategy the last few years. They are chill and we’ve only had one sting in those years and I think that was just an unfortunate accident with my youngest stepping on one and pissing it off. I still have several cans of spray so if they break the treaty then I’m ready to go to war, but for now we’re able to cohabitate.

  • I need this one explained to me… Did something happen in March 2025? Why are there two different versions of the same joke? Or is it all one big joke? I know the second frame in the first joke is a guy from the fallout show but I don’t understand what it means in this context. What is the person in the second joke, just a generic trans person? I also don’t understand what that has to do with COVID. Maybe I’m just dense.

  • The article says they are NOT infected. It does say “aggressive” but doesn’t seem to expand on that.

Despite reports initially suggesting that the monkeys were carrying infectious diseases - including hepatitis C, herpes and Covid-19 - Tulane University, where they were being housed, denied that was the case. “The primates…aren’t infectious. We’re actively collaborating with local authorities & will send a team of animal care experts to assist as needed,” the university wrote.

  • I cancelled Spotify a few months ago when King Gizzard left and brought to my attention how scummy Spotify is. I guess I should’ve known before but I never really thought about it. I tried Tidal and Deezer for free trials and think I’m sticking with Tidal. The biggest issue I have with the switch is Spotify integration with Amazon Alexa was really good as well as having a PS5 app. I’m not opposed to getting rid of the Alexa but haven’t looked much into the market. Are there any good alternatives to Alexa that can play music and do grocery lists since that’s mainly all we use it for?

  • I just finished (rolled the credits) Death Stranding last night after right around 100 hours play time. I wasn’t so sure about it going in but the gameplay loop of delivering packages really hit well with me. I thought the random boss encounters were a bit clunky but luckily they were pretty easy. I’m guessing that was by design since it’s not really a combat game overall. The story is confusing as hell and I’ll probably spend some hours watching YouTube videos trying to understand what happened.

I may end up going back to do more road building and stuff in Death Stranding but I’ll be starting RE Village tonight for my “Spooktober” game. I love the rest of the series and finally picked this one up on a recent sale so I’m excited to get into it.

  • I’ve been really digging Death Stranding. It’s kind of a silly concept of just delivering packages all over the map but it seems to be scratching some itch I didn’t even know I had. I like that I can pick it up for a delivery or two as my real life schedule allows and then randomly sometimes I actually progress the story or unlock a new tool to make my courier job easier. I’m only vaguely aware of the story but it’s enough to get me to actually watch the cutscenes even if I’m confused the whole time.

Overall I’d recommend at least trying it out for a few hours since it’s one that I never thought I’d enjoy but I’ve been proven wrong.
