I’d suggest hobbling those log links that point to active payloads etc - usually best practice when writing this stiff up, so someone doesn’t accidentally click on them…

I have family who worked in casinos all their lives, and they use the kissing sound they’re taught to use when working in the casino when out and about.

Whilst this would be better than blanket age verification, I feel it’s a mediocre outcome for the wrong fight.
Rather than taking a carve out for FOSS, the right fight is to get the online anonymity ban age verification legislation taken out completely.
If we let ourselves be satisfied with a carve out for those of us who are technically literate enough to sidestep early implementations anyway, we let the status quo change, until eventually they will come back for FOSS with the justification:
“well, EVERYONE ELSE submits to age verification, why should FOSS be any different?!”
or more likely:
“${scaryThreat} now uses FOSS to commit ${heinousCrime} against ${peopleWeSuddenlyCareAboutForPoliticalCapital} so we HAVE to protect the kids on FOSS now too!! #thoughtsAndPrayers #wontSomebodyThinkOfTheChildren”

My sons reply:

That’s not a cluttered garage.
I’d LOVE a garage with that little clutter…
I have to turn sideways and shuffle to get through the few sections of my garage that aren’t stacked floor to ceiling, and I haven’t seen my workbench in over a year…
(Moved into a new house that was 20% smaller and still haven’t figured out what to do with the excess furniture)

I have a firstname.lastname[at]gmail.com email address.
Every single week I get a different person’s legitimate email because they forget their email is firstname.lastname12345[at]gmail.com or some other number, and sign me up for stuff…
I get bank statements, rent notices, holiday bookings, xbox live accounts, kayak club membership emails, pizza delivery receipts, Amazon.com accounts and purchases…
You name it…
XKCD calls it “Reverse ID Theft” - I call it “Identity Donation”: it’s like people think: “here… Be me for a bit… See how you like it…”

If you are interested, here is the book that taught them all how to do it:

Here is the book the same author wrote when he realised his kids were getting addicted to devices:

My only point was:
these restrictions have the capacity to carry real impacts on people that amount to more than mild inconveniences…

I already can’t access many (and growing to MOST) government services without my government’s “my gov” app.
The mygov app won’t install/run on my devices as it is not a stock Android OS.
I’m LITERALLY unable to gain access to many government services without having to run a less secure “stock” device.
This isn’t an “oh my, what an inconvenience” situation over here.
It becomes an actual life limiting event.

Is it like that Superman or Office Space plot to take the fractions of a penny from rounded down transactions and siphon them off?!

Hyundai bought Boston Dynamic.
I feel it’s less about their factories and more about using them as a proving ground, as they will have to make that investment make some kind of revenue.

I hear you. My philosophy changed about 20years ago when Apple switched to Intel:
Mac laptops are expensive, but I regularly get 4-6 years from them without too much drama if I simply max out the ram when I buy them.
My thinking of my eventual move to Linux full time, a Framework or System76 machine costs similar to a Mac, and use the same Max ram philosophy.
I just wish the build quality was just a bit better for the price, but I’m willing to trade a little for user serviceability…

I* want* to buy one. But:
They are now one and the same…
I never joke about rockets…
(And don’t call me Shirly…)
[Sorry. Shameless Air plane/Flying High quote opportunity. I couldn’t avoid it. ]
But seriously though, it actually does fly straight…
And there are some seriously good paint jobs I’ve seen that people have done both steam punk or Wile.E.Coyote style that were just mind blowing.
So long as you all know: it flies perfectly well…

I often recommend mailinabox for the same thing…
On android: have you tried Thunderbird with davx5 as the connector?
I have suggested people start with MailInABox and go from there…
Before you buy it, I always suggest you rent or borrow one and make sure it works for you.
I was going to choose a Canon based on specs and reviews. I rented one and hated it. All the functions were on the back and I found it quite hard to get in the flow, spending all my time “chimping” the menus.
I borrowed a friends Nikon, and found all the buttons I wanted were where my fingers were, and I just naturally found it gelled. I found I spent more time taking the pictures I wanted, and less time messing around.
My partner on the other hand hates my Nikon, and has a Canon that she loves…
