I mean, we know cats named Oreo, Biscuit, and Butter.

My Kimchi, her whole name is Kim Chiara Oscura because her coat is light in darkness.

    Hmm. I don’t think I’ve ever had a cat named for a food….

Elliott, Gizmo, Tiny Dinosaur, Ellie, Fluffy….

Wait, no. Ellie’s (RIP) full name was Elmira Sunday Biscotti. Idk if that counts, her full name was only used when we were mad at her. Which was rare, because she was a very good kitty.

My cats: Tom Yum (spicy sour soup), Pad Thai (spicy noodles), Som Tum (spicy papaya salad), Kai Tun (a kind of egg custard), Luna, Lana, and Lily who doesn’t like the inside world. Tis a bad place.

    Food names are great.

I’ve known many a cat named after “western” (or whatever) food. Friend of mine has one named Burger right now. There’s one on c/cats named Broccoli Cheddar.

    Personally I use human names.

I live in Japan where tons of pets are named ‘mame’ which means ‘bean’. Pretty sure I’ve heard miso as well.
