It definitely shouldn’t be the metric now, but mostly because people don’t buy albums like they used to. But that’s not what the author is complaining about. Their main issue seems to be not understanding the same numbers for one of the most popular rappers of all time. And two that are more talented but less popular could be both a failure and success for both.
