Yeah you’re making it clear you hate the democrats but I think they’re way better then the republicans and they’re the only party with a chance to beat them.

It doesn’t matter if the democrats are all united or not.

They impeached Trump twice and the one with Trump’s abuse of power via ICE doesn’t matter because they have a minority.

Even if they all voted along party lines it still wouldn’t have gone through.

I’m making out clear that I don’t like centrist, neo liberal failures in both leadership and morality.

I happen to think of does matter of Democrat are united in something as important as impeachment and very much so with ICE. We Americans, myself included, marched by the millions against ICE, resisted, and American citizens were murdered by Trump’s racist ICE for it and were protected from prosecution by Trump and when Democrats in power and Democratic leadership can’t even do the small thing and stand up against it with a simple impeachment vote, well that’s just sad and pathetic. Really shows a lack of character.

And again of you’re not going to fight against ICE, well snowballs chance in hell they’ll do it for this.

As for your argument that they’re the only party, well, we’ve clearly seen that that’s not exactly true now it’s it? But hey, you keep supporting mediocrity, that’s your right.

It matters in terms of communicating what is at stake. If the low information voters is told not even the democrats will impeach or not all democrats agree what he did was bad, then it must not be that bad.

The House voted 232-147 to table another resolution brought by Rep. Green regarding aggressive immigration enforcement.

Eighteen literally doesn’t matter and might politically help them in red/purple area to not vote for a impeachment that will ultimately lose.

And yet when it comes time, yet again the same shit centrists are there fucking it all up and Democratic leadership failing to lead on the issue.

The bill, introduced by Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw of Texas, passed 215 to 201 Thursday with four Democrats voting in favor: Texas Reps. Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzalez, North Carolina Rep. Don Davis, and Washington Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez. It now goes to the Senate, where it is unclear if it has the support needed to pass.

Would have passed without those four democrats and four out of the two hundred and five there means democrats still overwhelmingly support trans rights.

And yet, without any need for them to be horrible assholes, your shitty centrist still went out of their way to harm trans people.

Not exactly what I would call a great moment in morality there. Just because Republicans had the numbers to pass it by themselves doesn’t mean shitty centrist Democrats get a pass for fucking over trans kids and their parents. That’s not the defense you think it is.

As we saw with Beto, you have to tread lightly in this state. Beto was doing just fine until he mentioned taking people’s guns, which is a cardinal Texas sin, and he paid the price for it. Trans people, as well as everyone else, have suffered under Abbott because he lost sight of what Texans want instead of what the national Democratic Party wanted. Regardless of your feelings about gun control, I think we can all agree that he could have prevented a lot of the damage that Abbott has gone on to do if he’d just picked his battles better.

I’d wager that the Talarico you’d see after the election is a little more vocal than the version he needs to be to have a shot at getting elected. Even if he isn’t, there is no doubt that he’d be a better representative for Texas than the lying, cheating, narcissistic, disingenuous, odorous, obnoxious, dimwitted, disgusting, perverted, hateful, pedophile supporting, pen stealing, brown nosing, false equivalency promoting, traitorous, treacherous, tedious, revolting, unholy, son of a gutter scum rat that is Ken Paxton.

And in case I forgot to mention it, fuck Ken Paxton in his beady little eye, but wear a condom because that turd is diseased.

Still you have to admit it’s pretty crappy to hear someone who once went to bat for trans people, walk it back. I still think he’s a good candidate, better than Paxton and better than other Texas Democrats like Cuellar.

                  But yeah, is Texas unfortunately.

Oh yeah, it’s crappy, but I’d rather he do that, win, and go on to support trans rights than say the whole truth now, lose, and be a footnote in history while Ken Paxton brings about a full blown holocaust for anyone who isn’t white, male, cisgender, and conservative.

Texas politics is really messy—I have been saturated in it my entire life. You’ve got to appeal to insane cowboys and city hippies at the same time to win as a democrat, and that’s no easy task. To steal a line from Primary Colors:

He had to tell his little stories and smile his shit-eating back country grin, and he did it all just so he could have the opportunity to one day stand before the nation and appeal to the better angels of our nature. And that’s where the bullshit stops. That’s what it’s all about—so we have the opportunity to do it the right way. You know as well as I do, that plenty of people playing this game, they don’t think that way. They’re willing to sell their souls, crawl through sewers, lie to people, divide them, play on their worst fears for nothing! Just for the prize.
