That’s cause everyone has. Quite literally no one cares about it anymore. It’s only randoms on the internet here and there who are too out of touch with the reality of the world around them that are still harping in about it.

Anything that was going to happen has come and gone. It literally in every sense of the word no longer matters at all to any one in power.

              They have moved on entirely.

I think Trump wants to nuke his enemies, and is trying to normalize the idea. Iran, Canada, Greenland, New York, California, Mexico, South Korea, anyone who simply disagrees with him.

It is my hope that the intelligence agencies of other nations are keeping close tabs on this. If need be, I hope they kill our nuclear codekeepers and destroy any means of launching the nukes.

Trump is the kind of mad man who would sooner see the world burn in fire, before allowing it to defy him.

It’s weird that you’re shitty to people for their beliefs. If those beliefs bring them comfort and help them treat others well, you benefit from them. You can value true beliefs in your own life and while choosing your immediate circle, and if you really want to spread it to the wider public, you could advocate for it instead of intentionally offending people for being different from you.

Most of the rich and powerful people who are currently ruining the US agree with you that hell exists, by the way.

Are we really gonna sit here and pretend that Christian nationalist don’t believe in hell? Give me a break.

You can be a rational person and be entirely immoral and self serving. And idk what those people believe in, they’re extremely confused, the worst form of Trinitarianism is the one that denies God’s judgment and I guess that’s what they’re about? “Jesus forgave my sins so I can colonize, murder and rape with impunity”? They can say they “believe in God” in whatever way they want the same way a wife beater can rationalize it as love and passion, doesn’t mean it makes any sense.

It’s just the natural continuation of a mentality that allowed “people” to come to a different land, rape and murder everyone in sight, settle in the graveyard they filled themselves, and still call themselves people, supported by God even. Nothing new, but the fact it’s been over 200 years and it’s still prevalent enough that Trump, the figurehead of Western imperialism and white supremacy, has over 30% approval rate, makes it all very sad. But John Brown existed, so I keep my hopes up that one day, God willing, humanity and the desire for peaceful coexistence will settle in the heart of “radical” Westerners.

Every people has some black stains on their past…but it really seems like white people are the last ones to realize it.

We (white people) are the bad guys.

There’s been lots of bad guys, but for the past millenia or so, white people have been and continue to be the worst.

          We’re #1?

I guess what we have to accept is that if we’re not the bad guys, then someone else is and then we are the oppressed. So we can’t just forfeit being the world’s assholes, because somebody else will do it to us!

In my opinion, wealth is the primary driving factor of that. Exploitation and abuse of the bottom by the top seems to occur in nearly every culture that doesn’t put in strict safeguards to neuter the privileged.

The British empire dominated so much of the globe that the white elites advanced to the Olympic level of exploitation, but if we blame it on their color alone, we are leaving the back door open for other ghoulishly rich groups to stand in their place.

I believe the real issue is the aristocratic class. In England, it was determined by heredity, and in America, it is determined by money, but the kind of person who inhabits that role is the same: mean spirited selfish assholes who fundamentally believe they are better than everyone else and that they deserve to get everything they want because the average Joe is inferior to them in every way. They think normal people serve no purpose unless they are serving the needs of an elite.

That attitude strikes me as profoundly anti-human, and I think they should be treated as what they are: a predator that threatens the entire species who must be eliminated for the common good.

Why take this to a racial place?

Dozens of African warlords with their private armies of child soldiers would like a word with you.

The only reason they’re not doing this on a global scale is that colonialism has crippled those countries for centuries, so their stolen wealth is running western countries now.

Make no mistake, human malice knows no bounds of skin color or religion.

I bet if Americans had held strikes in response to layoffs OR chosen not to buy foreign cars back then, today their unions would be stronger and their cars wouldn’t be so… wasteful (in many ways). Sure does suck to suck.

This is 3rd or 4th time of making the threat. Hegseth is also making mission accomplished speeches, and saying SoH should be Europe’s problem. Latter is not serious because its not his job to ask for help, but it would be way less serious if nukes were flying by the time Europe got there. I think this is all more of an end of war (withdrawal) preparation, than the 4th time being the one where the most psycho part of the brain wins.

I feel like, and this isn’t in dreadful anticipation of anything in particular or anything, but like the UN General Assembly should get together and vote on a resolution saying the nuking countries is bad and that any country, no matter who they are, that nukes another country without being existentially threatened themselves first, is a rogue nation and that if it ever happened, the entire rest of the world would do something about it.

This is already covered by ICJ:

      the threat or use of nuclear weapons would generally be contrary to the rules of international law applicable in armed conflict, and in particular the principles and rules of humanitarian law; However, in view of the current state of international law, and of the elements of fact at its disposal, the Court cannot conclude definitively whether the threat or use of nuclear weapons would be lawful or unlawful in an extreme circumstance of self-defence, in which the very survival of a State would be at stake;
