Quite a large one for the small river and surprisingly he went for a quite small nymph.

Took me a few readouts to get it xD
If you don’t mind me asking where were you fishing, geographically speaking. We have the fantastically named horny creek chub around me but I have not caught one that large.
Not at all ;) I was on a small Belgian river near home. We have a lot of usually smaller of those together with trouts and graylings. Not so many humongous ones.
