    It really fucked up older supported phones too. In a way I’ve never seen happen with iOS.

    Rendering lag is everywhere on my perfectly capable iPhone 12 mini. I had zero issues before this update, and everything but the Liquid Glass runs just fine still. Home screen needs to re render all the icons every time you return to it. Sometimes I see magenta frames rendered when opening or switching apps (traditionally, this means an error happened rendering that frame), etc.

    I want to stress that it’s purely graphical UI things that struggle. Nothing else is slow. Just the glass. It seems like it’s a VRAM issue to me.

    I’d chalk this up to incompetence and not intentionally trying to force me to update my hardware. All they had to do was drop support for the device for that.

      Also slow on the very modern phones, too. So fuck updating as a solution.
