Cannot see a tournament win. But given Ireland’s shit performance last night, a second is a possibility. As could be fifth! That’s why I love the six nations, no duds in the whole thing. Italy should be an easy game on paper tomorrow, but we said that 2 years ago!

Ten years ago, I was in London for a long weekend and I remember watching the six nations in the Horniman pub next to the Thames. I always think of that trip when the six nations are on! Second would be a great result!!

Yes, second would be our best ever 6n finish. And I have so many memories of the tournament, it is hard to choose one! Certainly, some of my earliest include watching on the telly with my Dad, will have to get the kids along to Murrayfield soon

I’ve been meaning to watch that game! I thought it was today and missed it completely, but friends that have watched it said it was really good. Gonna at least check out the highlights over some coffee tomorrow morning

Sorry to hear that things are so rough on the relationship front. I’ve got no useful advice to give, just my sympathy

Chuir mi romham nach fhiach mo chàr a chumail. Càiridh mi e, thèid mi air tùras-rathad, agus reicidh e. Chan eil mi dràibhig ach ainneamh a-nis - bha mi ceart gu leòr gun chàr airson Am Faoilleach - mar sin dheth tha e ro daor. 'S furasta dhomh càr fastaidh a los coiseachd chnoc, agus bidh e nas saoire anns an ùine fhada

I’ve come to the conclusion that my dead car isn’t worth keeping. I’m gonna get it fixed up, take it on a fun road trip of some sort to say goodbye to it, and then sell it. I barely drive anywhere these days anyway - little enough that it hasn’t been an issue for me to not have a working car for the past month and a half - so it’s just a pointless money pit. I can hire a car for when I want to go out hillwalking and still come out far better off overall

Also I’ve been neglecting my Gaelic and I’m trying to get back into practicing, so I probably made a bunch of errors in the above

Your Gaidhlig better than mine at the moment! I finished the DuoLingo course about 2 years ago and have been daein French instead. And cars are a money pit, especially if you aren’t driving them regularly. I’ll likely need tae think about a car tae, but just as you - only fer holidays really so might just rent as needed an aww. I quite like bangers, and there’s a classic car guy no far away, and he’s always got some bargain too!

Can always sell it after, see if he’ll buy it back!

Ohhh some of those look like fun. I’m somewhat enamoured by that little Capri in particular, it looks like it’s in great condition

How has your French been going? I learned German in school, so I never got a foundation for French’s very different pronunciation rules

J’aime le français, c’est une langue gentile

And aye, always eyeing up something from him - but feel it needs a garage really to own a classic like that

That has definitely been one of the issues for me. I’m not bad at fixing stuff myself, but if I have to do it without even a driveway, much less a garage, it becomes an awful lot more difficult

Tapadh leat! I’m hoping to get myself on another course this summer or autumn, but I’m not sure which yet. I had been doing eSgoil with UHI, but they were really struggling for staff and it was causing some issues on an otherwise good program

I’ve used the eSgoil stuff at work but I think it lost investment after covid. There was lots for online learning that I really liked!

Outside, but i probably could hoover the inside. The reggy plate and sensors all need cleaned so it’ll just go through a car wash, not actual manual labour!!

I’m on a series of books which is really 2 series that cross over. I’m on book 5 of 10 and I’m loving it!!! What were you reading? Ready player two is a movie now i think?

Ready Player One was made into a movie, hence why I read it subsequently, and now onto the sequel. I just finished The Last of the Mohicans and 19th C writing can be a slog at times indeed! My backlog is about ten deep, no more books this year and try to get through it is my resolution
