Chuir mi romham nach fhiach mo chàr a chumail. Càiridh mi e, thèid mi air tùras-rathad, agus reicidh e. Chan eil mi dràibhig ach ainneamh a-nis - bha mi ceart gu leòr gun chàr airson Am Faoilleach - mar sin dheth tha e ro daor. 'S furasta dhomh càr fastaidh a los coiseachd chnoc, agus bidh e nas saoire anns an ùine fhada
I’ve come to the conclusion that my dead car isn’t worth keeping. I’m gonna get it fixed up, take it on a fun road trip of some sort to say goodbye to it, and then sell it. I barely drive anywhere these days anyway - little enough that it hasn’t been an issue for me to not have a working car for the past month and a half - so it’s just a pointless money pit. I can hire a car for when I want to go out hillwalking and still come out far better off overall
Also I’ve been neglecting my Gaelic and I’m trying to get back into practicing, so I probably made a bunch of errors in the above
Your Gaidhlig better than mine at the moment! I finished the DuoLingo course about 2 years ago and have been daein French instead. And cars are a money pit, especially if you aren’t driving them regularly. I’ll likely need tae think about a car tae, but just as you - only fer holidays really so might just rent as needed an aww. I quite like bangers, and there’s a classic car guy no far away, and he’s always got some bargain too!
That has definitely been one of the issues for me. I’m not bad at fixing stuff myself, but if I have to do it without even a driveway, much less a garage, it becomes an awful lot more difficult
Tapadh leat! I’m hoping to get myself on another course this summer or autumn, but I’m not sure which yet. I had been doing eSgoil with UHI, but they were really struggling for staff and it was causing some issues on an otherwise good program

Can always sell it after, see if he’ll buy it back!
Ohhh some of those look like fun. I’m somewhat enamoured by that little Capri in particular, it looks like it’s in great condition
How has your French been going? I learned German in school, so I never got a foundation for French’s very different pronunciation rules
J’aime le français, c’est une langue gentile
And aye, always eyeing up something from him - but feel it needs a garage really to own a classic like that
That has definitely been one of the issues for me. I’m not bad at fixing stuff myself, but if I have to do it without even a driveway, much less a garage, it becomes an awful lot more difficult
Cars are just money pits no matter the age. They depreciate so quickly!!!
Well done on the gaelic!! My gaelic comes from dotaman way back in the old days!!!

I’ve used the eSgoil stuff at work but I think it lost investment after covid. There was lots for online learning that I really liked!
