Called the cops and they came and took it. I’m glad, because I really didn’t want to put it in my truck.

I took my kid out magnet fishing and lost the magnet day 1. Got it hooked in some broken concrete I think.

Yeah that’s why I’m hesitant to get another. Our river is lined with old broken up concrete, I wish I had a boat.

I was trying to think of a cone or something else to make it al little less likely to snag rather than grab magnetically. But im not sure yet.

Ooh that would help, as would have some waders, but that’s not the kind of environment where you want to get into the water. Our river also has 3 inflatable dams in about 4 miles, which I’m not really willing to test the danger of in the same way I’m not willing to throw snowballs at polar bears. I just think I may not live in a place where this is very feasible.

Where the fuck do you live! /s

This was taken out of the Rock River in Wisconsin. I’m kinda blessed with all the water around. Probably hit up some lakes as soon as the weather warms a bit. But most bridges and other doggy places have a lot of rocks around. Good luck if you decided to make a go at it again.

I live in a place where you either find mafia shit, or nothing at all. It’s like uhhh that’s probably nothing. He’s like no, this is a thing! Nah no it isn’t. There’s no way to figure out what’s on that. Just forget about it.

I did this with my kids and after many days we concluded throwing things in rivers is a US culture. We found a few nails.

Just off the top of my head, the seine gets drained about every decade or so and you’ll find mopeds, scooters, bikes, shopping carts. No river in the world is clean, you, like me, just picked a bad spot.

The Seine us never drained. However it’s done to sections of the canals that drain into it every now and then.
