I wish I was more of a film buff. So many of these modern classics I missed over the years…
it’s a breeze of a film - everyone bring their A game and the plot is both silly and intricate at the same time.
I was really in to Allen’s films, right from What’s up, Tiger Lily to… I guess Hannah and her Sisters, but I just couldn’t keep up with my diminished time & opportunity, over the years. Lot of catching up to do, one of these days. :S
his work been solid and fairly diverse up most of the time until early 2010s. He even did kafkian thriller once.
Whoa. I just counted, and he’s done 50 films, now. I’ve only seen 20 of them, at best.
Good to see he’s still producing films through the scandal period, as I’d thought that completely shut down his directing career.
his scandal period is arguably longer than his pre-scandal period - it’s been like 33 years and counting.
Good point. I guess what I was really trying to say is that it wasn’t so much when the original accusations were made that impacted him so much, but later on, when they kind of snowballed in impact, and especially after that hit-piece movie came out against him. I.e., from a certain point, public opinion had shifted enough that he was somewhat shunned in the film industry, which naturally impacted his ability to make movies.
Not to push my own opinion, but just for the rekkid: (sorry for the link)
https://www.reddit.com/r/JohnnyEnzyme/comments/14bxcad/more_on_dylan_farrows_accusations_against_woody/both parts of the scandal are gigantic messes that keep on mutating into more and more bizarre discourses. i don’t think public has a say in things that should be investigated with due process.
Hollywood’s favorite daughter fucker
it’s complicated and very messy and confusing
Not really.
Woddy Allen is sexually attracted to teenagers that he could groom.
