Too much bickering between Trump and Iran for tankers to risk it. Iran wants to get paid to allow passage, Trump keeps screaming you better not, and no one wants to be the test case for who will make it through.

Can you imagine sitting there defenseless and out of control of the situation, while anchored and missiles and drones fly overhead? Fuck. I can’t imagine what that’s doing to all those people’s mental health.

The sea itself is always enough to make you nervous. Adding the possibility of random explosions just takes it over the edge. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out about suicides or homicides among the crew.

only because trump started it, and besides its a distraction from the epstein files, the longer this goes on, the less the news is honing on the files, especially at a time when more talk about it is coming out.

As far as I know, it’s because Iran says Israel broke the ceasefire as it attacked Lebanon and won’t open the strait, if Lebanon is not included in the ceasefire

Found this homepage giving a good overview of the situation:

Too many 3rd-party scripts for my taste. But I was able to see some plain text:

Stranded vessels: 150+ ships including tankers, bulk carriers, and other commercial vessels

On top of everything else we might be looking at another environmental disaster.
