      As is any person of fame.if they were poor you wouldn’t hear of them. And if they are sufficiently influential they can become wealthy at a whim from donations or selling out. Reach has value. And opinions of the wealthy do matter in the real world.

      Your wrong, too, as while the Vatican is wealthy so is america. And the gay fans wealth is dependent on subsidiaries with their own goals and ambitions. The pope is much less powerful than you are giving them credit from. Schisms happen for a reason.

    From the article it seems to not be a condemnation of the exploitation in first world countries, but predominantly a critique of the gross and appealing inequality and exploitation in africa and ldcs.

      He’s not talking about doctors. The people with enough wealth to influence US government policy got it by keeping millions of people poor or making them poorer.
