The first thought that came to my head was that someone is going to stick their used gum into the ports. I’m looking forward to seeing the new buses.
I’ve been on some buses with stroller parking. It’s a single seat that can be raised to park the stroller and seems helpful, especially if the parent is tired and wants to sit down without blocking the whole aisle.
That was my first thought too. Not necessarily gum, but just about all kinds of crap. I can envision assholes stuffing them with aluminum foil just to short circuit the system if they don’t have adequate fuse protection. Those things are going to be wrecked within a few years if they don’t constantly replace the ports.
My other thought is whether they’re going to be USB-A or USB-C ports. My phone doesn’t even start charging unless it’s hooked up to a powerful charger with a USB-C to USB-C cable. There must be some limitation on the amperage/wattage that can be pumped through USB-A.
