Nobody’s leading anything until they’re counting ballots. This kind of click bait makes people think they don’t need to get out and vote.

While it’s extremely likely that Democrats take the House and moderately likely that they take the Senate at this point, Angie Nixon’s election in Florida is still a long shot.

A Democratic majority in the Senate is much more likely to come from flipping states like Texas, Kansas, Iowa, Maine, and North Carolina.

Polls are more and more meaningless.

I don’t answer unknown phone numbers. Unsolicited text messages get ignored and their sender blocked. Unsolicited mail goes straight into the trash, unopened. I block all ads online. Emails only reach my eyeballs if they’re on a whitelist of approved senders. I don’t answer the door if I don’t recognize who’s knocking. How are pollsters supposed to get the opinion of someone like me?

I can’t be the only one. There are more and more people out there who are functionally impossible to poll. More and more, their poll results are going to be biased by focusing on bored busybodies who for some reason like answering random phone calls or other things like that. And it’s definitely not going to be affecting all demographics equally.
