American late-night host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel encountered significant public backlash following Thursday's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which featured 'Israeli' actress Gal Gadot as a primary guest. Gadot's appearance on the show drew sharp criticism from pro-Palestine viewers and activists online, sparking calls to boycott the segment. The episode also featured a musical performance by the American indie pop band MUNA. That's not ok @jimmykimmel , you can't play both sides, choose which side of history you wanna be on because Gal lame actress is a genocide supporter and ex IDF. https://t.co/ElecHxRH4v — Omar Gaza 🇵🇸 (@Omar_Gaza) September 11, 2026 MUNA distance themselves from Gadot Following the broadcast and subsequent viewer outcry, MUNA member Naomi McPherson addressed the band's inclusion in the episode. McPherson explained that the group's musical performance had been recorded days prior to the broadcast and stated that the band members "weren't told who any of the guests were gonna be." Using the moment to respond to fans and address the controversy, McPherson explicitly voiced support for Palestine, publishing the statement: "Free Palestine."
Are you telling me you actually watch Jimmy Kimmel? Why?
Because he is a good person, who cares about the right things, and despises MAGA. I don’t watch his interviews, I have no interest in vapid Hollywood types, but I like his monologues, and I especially love the fact that MAGA HATES him with a white hot passion. So I support him.
