Funny thing, I’m an older guy too, and a while back in the grocery store I saw some kid (late teens, maybe early 20s) wearing all black and a Depeche Mode t-shirt from the early days. I was gonna give them a thumbs up or something but then I realized they’d be like: omg I was wearing this shirt and this creepy old Latino guy was checking me out, I’m never gonna listen to this music again! So I just went on shopping.

logue AI’ brothel experience wherein customers can rent synthetic sex dolls who are
‘brought to life’ by remotely located voice actresses/sex workers using strategically
placed cameras and speakers (Culley 2023; Hanson and Smith 2024).

• Tétrica - Brujería - it’s Spanish for “Witchcraft”… plus the video has clips from “Monster High” lel…
• She Past Away - La Maldad - another song in Spanish even though they’re from Turkiye… I reckon it’s bc they live in Barcelona? but why wouldn’t they do it in Catalan? I dunno… anyway the title means “The Evil” see translated lyrics.
• Desenterradas - Ciudad Prohibida - aw wat the hell I might as well go for 3 songs in Spanish… this one’s kinda punky… is that wat death rock means? Anyway the title means “Forbidden City”, it’s about this haunted place where evil spirits live and the lyrics are like watch out or they’ll kill ya. ok next one’s in English I promise

• The September sumo tournament ended yesterday! On [email protected] I made a “how to watch” post at the beginning, middle, and end of the tourney and encouraged others to post. One person did indeed post several times, which was great! And several other folks made comments. So the approach of “posting a couple times and encouraging others to post” during limited-time events seems promising.
• [email protected] - another person started posting after I made an announcement (which got a fair amount of discussion) on newcommunities

so… if we’re going to have AI-generated content, consumed by bots… and then that’s going to be summarized with engagement metrics… why don’t we cut out the middleman and just generate the metrics?
