that’s the thing! she spent most of this summer cosplaying as a childless 20-something, trying to queerbait the algorithm. she shifts and contorts literally EVERYTHING about herself (personality, fashion, voice, the shape of her face, the shape of her body, eye colour, ailments etc etc) depending on who she’s trying to sell stuff to/ingratiate herself with. so pulling up to Global like some regular degular mom is laughable. she’s an absolute clown and i really don’t think this grift can continue for much longer. but then again, as you rightly point out, companies like Marks apparently do zero research before hiring clowns like her so who knows?

her “performance” was also so brutal. she was awkward and looked super uncomfortable and out of place. she was, as usual, ill-spoken to the point that some of the sentences that came out of her mouth literally didn’t even make sense. and she was clearly using the influencer tactic of performative relatability/authenticity. she’s up there clowning like she’s just some regular degular mom who happened to waltz into Marks on a whim and stumble upon these AMAZING clothes and shoes that you can’t find anywhere else (levis! adidas! how exclusive!) and gosh golly just needs to share this hot tip with all her best pals here on live daytime TV! also why did she keep referring to Marks as “we” throughout the segment? sarah needs some serious media training if she wants to try to actually make a break for it outside of social media/filtered reality on iphones. i would love to know how much Marks paid her and Global for this native advertising bullshit.

new self-diagnosis just dropped! add RSD (rejection sensitivity disorder) to the growing list.
