That’s a fair point, but I disagree. Trump is still nominally beholden to the democratic process, and theoretically Congress could end all this nonsense right now. The fact that the legislative branch refuses to use its powers doesn’t mean they don’t exist; the process leading to the latter is what we’d call a coup.
