    root canal treatment for a common dental infection (apical periodontitis). The infection can cause bacteria to enter the bloodstream and increase inflammation, associated with risks to cardiac health and reduced ability to control blood sugar levels.

    Breaking News: Treating an infection that causes cardiac and blood sugar problems reduces those problems.🙄

    Headline makes it sound like everyone that gets a root canal for whatever reason gets this bonus side benefit. But the root canal is just the treatment method for this particular infection that causes these problems.

    Somebody send this to health insurances that don’t cover dental, because they don’t seem to know.
