Or coercion, or a bunch of other closely related things. All across history there have been “incentives” for women to lower their standards and to gaslight themselves into believing that their shitty situations were normal.

When do you suppose that what we consider modern humans were able to be capable of mutual consent? What about our ancestors and what we evolved from?

Because, that’s just a tiny fraction of our history, and that doesn’t go back close to even a hundred thousand years. Let alone “hundreds”. None of the times before that could be considered consensual. So yes, of course, you don’t?

Children isn’t even the right word for most of our history as well, It’s offspring.

Homo sapiens is around 300,000 years old. That includes the level of intelligence and the capability for social behaviour.

And given that many female animals will violently chase off males who want to mate against the females’ will, ‘consent’ is probably much, much older.

Animals can deny consent, but not give. You’re also proving their point. Nothing is consensual in the animal kingdom, and humans aren’t hundreds of thousands of years old either.

You are suggesting that not saying no means they give consent, that’s clearly not the metric we use.

Is the word consensual so hard for you to understand? It’s not the same as just consent. It’s mutual consent, not one sided. Lmfao such a “Reddit” thing to ignore words and their definitions to make their point. Look in the mirror mate.

Consent and mutual consent(consensual) are entirely different concepts. The animal kingdom CANNOT provide mutual consent, like your example, that’s denying consent, not mutual consent, and again, try using that metric in today’s age. They specified that in their comment, ignoring it is fallacious.

Or, you’re part of what’s wrong with the world and take not hearing no as yes. Not saying no isn’t consent and never has been!
