Once among the most polluted cities in the world, Beijing has made a massive U-turn on air quality — thanks, in part, to EVs.

The effects of breathing combustion emissions are well known. Those who don’t know should look it up.

Well no shit. The air in LA used to be brown and some days it was dangerous to breathe, with massive levels of lead. Laws banning lead in gas and catalytic converters cleaned it up.

    But Americans hate the EPA.

Beijing cleaned up because of laws banning ICE cars in the city, not voluntary efforts from consumers.

Depends what you compare it to really. Its better than ICE cars, but electric bike, bus or train is even better.

Yeah cars are really bad on many metrics. Removing exhaust alone isn’t going to make them good.

Isn’t there a rule about headlines that end with question marks?

Is it cool to answer every question like you are answering a question?

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betteridge's_law_of_headlines

Any headline that ends in a question mark can be answered by the word no.

      This one breaks the rule!

        That’s why I asked.
Are we not following any rules anymore?
        What’s wrong with world!?
