While several countries boycott Eurovision because Israel takes part and also cheats in the votes, Canada is paying money for it.
It would be hypocritical to boycott a competition over a country commiting genocide on the native population.

Having watched the music videos in the article…they’re all good artists, but I’m not sure I’m seeing any Eurovision winners. There needs to be some arena-filling bombast. If anyone’s seen these artists live, maybe you’ll have some insights.
Based solely on these videos…Rêve could be a good choice. Josiane’s mix of French and English could be a fun way to show off the country, but again…Eurovision is about spectacle much of the time.
