    Each time it was stupid and just a mark of the previous generaton being to dumb to understand the next one.

    Now, this is awkward. Horvath said many young people remain highly confident in their intelligence despite lower measured performance.

    This is because the standards have been lowered and benchmarks changed. Its easier to pass tests and graduate high school now more than ever before. Colleges have been screaming about this for years. From the Republican view point, the system is working.

      If you want to fight for the inclusion of disabled people in society there are better ways to spend your effort than trying to police the use of the word dumb.

    At no fault of their own… also, doesn’t this imply their parents (i.e. previous generation) is dumb for allowing this to happen? Just saying.

      Not really. Blaming the parents is similar to blaming the children, it’s trying to assign individual responsibility to what is a systemic problem.
